Job: Started on July 5th. I took my first day, July 1st, off for an anniversary celebration. We spent a great weekend up in Lake George, and then to Albany for my grandma's 90th birthday party. Very fun! The new job is great! I love what I do! What a feel-good thing to say, finally. Strangely, during vacation, I just wanted to get back to work, and see what I was going to do. I must be still in the honeymoon stage, we'll see how long that'll last.
Vacation: Awesome! Went to Jamaica. SCUBA'd everyday, and saw cool thing. Saw a big sea turtle, a 10-foot long manta ray, just two of the highlights. All-inclusives are awesome. Lots of activities, fun people, food, free drinks...how can you go wrong? Oh, kind of, the end was a little stressful. That darn Hurricane Emily got in the way of our leaving on Saturday, as they closed the Montego Bay airport. We were scheduled to fly out Wednesday the 20th(not as bad as a couple who were schedule to fly out Tuesday the 26th!!!). Instead, we went to the airport to try and fly standby, got on a flight that day, and were back to Boston late late Sunday night...actually, it was technically Monday. But, good news, when we flew into Charlotte to catch our connection, I was able to buy Harry Potter.
Harry Potter: No spoilers here, as Mike is still reading book number 6, and I'm sure there are some people who are living under a rock or just insanely busy, and haven't had the time to read it. It was actually the thing that tore me up all week. At home, I wanted to read, but I was wondering what would happen at work the next day. At work, I was excited about what I was doing, but wanted to go home to read Harry Potter. So, if you've read it...email me, and we'll discuss! I can't wait for book 7. Although, part of me doesn't want it to come, because then the series will be over...sniff, sniff.
Life in General: Can't complain...Wish I had something interesting or horrible to say. But I don't. Life is just falling into place. So, for those of you that aren't there yet...be patient. I've found so far that life goes in cycles. This year sucked. Job sucked. Not knowing what we were doing sucked. Moving sucked. All around, just stressful situations left and right. And I had no wand, magical spells, or potions to fend them off. Then, the calm after the storm arrived.
